standard Moleskine paper is pretty lousy. The ink had bled through the last drawing so much I just sort of went with the smudgy shape already happening, and ended up with a melting squid-like MACRODON figure...

376 (sketch for new toy design)
another of my recent faves, after making a clay sculpt of "BOGEY", I really liked the idea of 3-legged MACRODONS, and in this case, I think it would be almost symmetrical.

375 (sketch for new toy design)
this MACRODON belongs in the last series of "Bean-Shaped" MACRODONS, and, again, maybe I did already draw it...

374 (sketch for new toy design)
This MACRODON is so big that other MACRODONS walk around on it's flat head and don't realize they are walking on a MACRODON (?)
this paper is really crappy...

372 (sketch for new toy design)

371 (sketch for new toy design)
déjà vu, I really feel like I've made this exact drawing before... and maybe I have. I need to go through the last year of MACRODONS again and see how many drawings turned out to be repeats, known, or unknown to me (?)

370 (sketch for new toy design)
The next 11 posts are other ideas for toy designs I came up with that didn't quite make the cut for now (or at all).
Here, the strong-armed MACRODON makes a reappearance... a bit different than before...

MACRODON 'XENON' -toy design
MACRODON #369 -'XENON' -final version.
xenon
1) 1898, from Greek, "foreign, strange," coined by its discoverer, Scottish chemist Sir William Ramsay (1852-1916)
2) 'vacuum' -properly a loan/translation of Greek, 'xenon,' lit. "that which is empty." Meaning "a place emptied of air" is attested from 1652.

MACRODON 'BOGEY' -toy design
MACRODON #368 -'BOGEY' -final version.
as it can be seen, this MACRODON ended up with a more tubular variation on the skinny arm I started with, and I wanted to do something a bit different with his legs, so this will be the first MACRODON sculpt with 3 legs!)

MACRODON 'CROM' -toy design
MACRODON #367 -nicknamed 'CROM' -final version.
(I don't usually name each MACROODN, but I may start)

upcoming projects - sneak peak #3
unlike the previous designs, MACRODON 369 started with this sketch
(whereas the others were 'sketched' first in clay)

upcoming projects - sneak peak #2
another work in progress, MACRODON 368, here I am trying to figure out the upper appendages / arms, below are the two versions I am thinking about...

upcoming projects - sneak peak #1
here is an early look at MACRODON 367 -a preliminary sculpt for a new toy design...
it was first conceived to stand on either end, below is the view of the figure, flipped over.
