325 -after Emily's sketch (finished!)
MACRODON inspired by Emily's dinosaur figure, now finished with some texture and linework I am really happy with.

325 -after Emily's sketch
Emily's dinosaur drawing is morphing into a MACRODON, with the head transposed from the dinosaur neck area to a small nub on the left side of the figure, and the dinosaur tail and neck now tunred into long rubbery arms for the MACRODON. I like the look of this drawing in progress, but I'll still work on it a bit more...

325 -after Emily's sketch (work in progress)
Emily's drawing seemed like a rendition of something akin to my MACRODONS, so, taking the shape of her dinosaur, here I am sketching out a MACRODON... still in progress... but, I liked what was going on, so here it is above! +some wierdness... damaged image file...?

scrapes #3
posts have been slow-coming this past week as I have simply felt out of sorts, these are all pretty gross, and you probably don't want to see them, but here is excuse #3 anyways.

scrapes #2
annoyance #2 - it doesn't feel like enough to halt the advancement of MACRODON research, but I do feel slowed down a bit...

UPDATE: with NEW SKETCHES + PHOTOS of SIGHTING !
After a week of thorough research on the beach in Destin, Florida, the sketch-blog is now updated, with the following new posts (#314 - #323) depicting brand new MACRODON research illustrations. Also, following are some very rare AND amazingly clear photos of a MACRODON in the ocean (!?)
The first image is a simple photo of the beach:
Then something cathes my eye, and I get a quick shot:
After steading my hand I get this killer photo:
An attempt to zoom in for more detail yields a blury shot:
and then... nothing...
Please report any info and/or images of MACRODON sightings to the MACRODON RESEARCH BLOG, and in the meantime, see other MACRODON SIGHTINGS:

I finished this piece once I returned home, I am quite pleased with this final painted version. The initial pencil drawing is still interesting so I posted it as well:

...I'm not sure if this one has a tiny nub of a head or not, so I erased it, but my line was drawn too hard and the mark in the paper remains...

these sort of wierd gnarly appendages seem to be a reoccuring theme in these past few posts... this is a painting in progress on a 15 x 15 inch piece of rag paper, the wobbly, curly paper can be seen photographed on the hard wood floors of my living room...

painting in progress (another 12 x 12 inch wood panel) reminiscent of the explosions and smoke monsters previously seen here, another before and after, still in progress...
