triple fin, or designs for a MACRODON toaster?

giant slug or MACRODON
BOTH!
?
I flipped the drawing on it's side, because I don't really see too many MACRODONS flying, and one with this shape seems to need to be grounded by gravity, below it appears quite odd 'flying'.
I was having a very hard time resolving this drawing, at one point it seemed to want to go in two completely different directions, or are they 2 MACRODONS conjoined at the head?
see below for the direction the drawing didn't take, but I felt the need to attempt to resolve it via Photoshop by clocking out it's conjoined sibling.

it would appear that the last few drawings didn't really retain any significant signs of the underdrawing: MACRODON #327, just some dots...

In Photoshop, I, VERY roughly sketched out a shape somewhat better than the last post ...

and here are a couple of changes via Photoshop that I wanted to work out... most of the MACRODONS that came out of this re-working are quite rad.

this MACRODON evolved out of a sketch of a taco...
into something a little more descriptive than #039
& below is a Photoshop-ed version of an early scan of the drawing.
I can't tell which one I like best...

crazy strom tonite, the power was out a long time, I did quite a bit of drawing by candle light, and then here is some Photoshoppery I just finished:
Here is the plastiline sculpture (mentioned here: #202) for "design #159" (which illustration #193 closely resembles), and below is some Photoshopping to figure out a base color for the final product.

study of MACRODON's musculature?

The past 45 entries are part of a process to come up with designs for some new MACRODON figures. Many illustrations are very similar, and the textures I have been trying out recently are quite different from the previous look most MACRODONS have had. I figured out some new things I liked, as well as several poor designs that simply don't work for the time being. Today I posted 10 illustration studies for a MACRODON I recently finished sculpting in plastiline, #193 closely resembles the final result, that began from an idea for #157, which I then developed into another idea: #159... This last entry for today represents an idea for #159 / #193 that I am trying to figure out, the image above is simply a very rough sketch of it's shape, and below, a little Photoshop doodling of these ideas... more on that later, once I have actually figured it out...

A Photoshop sketch-up taken from the mess I made last post.

hah! I am not going to attempt to sculpt this texture,
although awesome... too time consuming for now...

This design looks like I just phoned it in... but really, I got stuck on a few other designs I could not work out, so this is all for now...

Here is the first in several designs for the texture of this MACRODON.
